Arroyo Grande and Opera San Luis Obispo present Broadway on the Bandstand Aug. 16

Looking for a sonic slice of Americana? Stop by Arroyo Grande’s quaint bandstand this Aug. 16 for Arroyo Grande Village Summer Concert’s presentation of Broadway on the Bandstand.

Sung by Opera San Luis Obispo, this show promises to get folks humming in their seats. A young quintet of musical talent will belt out show tunes galore in support of Cal Poly’s KCPR radio station.

The student-run, nonprofit station broadcasts throughout the Central Coast on 91.3 MHz and aims to bring entertaining and alternative programming to the masses. Give them a hand while reliving your favorite musical numbers—sounds like a win-win to me.

The concert starts at 1 p.m. and will include a raffle, food, drinks, and free tours of historical buildings in the area.

The show is free to the public. For other summer concert series shows and information, visit or call 473-2250.
