Celebrating two decades of Pride in SLO



Enjoy some fine wine at Pride Night Out June 30 at Asuncion Ridge Vineyards in Paso Robles from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.

Have a drink or two and support the LGBTQ community at Guest Bartender Night July 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Black Sheep Bar & Grill. Bring cash, as tips that night benefit Central Coast Pride.

Stop by the GALA Center gallery for Art After Dark on July 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. and take in the work of local LGBTQ artists in the Proud to Be ... art show.

Catch a few reality TV stars in action in SLO at the Pride Drag Show on July 7. The event features three performers from RuPaul's Drag Race and is hosted by SLO's own Tommi Rose. Show times are at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. at the SLO Guild Hall. Tickets start at $20. Bring cash to tip the drag queens and to buy drinks from the cash-only bar.

Continue the fun at the Pride Party July 8 starting at 10 p.m. at SLO Brew. Host and emcee Grace Towers joins the celebration from San Francisco. It's DJs, dancing, and surprise entertainment all night long. Proceeds benefit SLO Pride. Tickets are $15.

The premiere event of the weekend, Pride in the Plaza, is July 9 starting at noon. Located in SLO's historic Mission Plaza, this event is the highlight of Pride on the Central Coast. The festival is free to the public and features a full afternoon of entertainment for all ages, including tribute perormances to '80s pop, ABBA, and Lady Gaga.

Finish a weekend of celebrating the LGBTQ community with a wrap-up party at Novo Restaurant & Lounge in SLO July 9 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wander across the creek to the patio of Novo for an after-Pride gathering of dinner and cocktails while relaxing and reconnecting with friends. Seating will be limited—first come, first served. Admission is free and this event is open to all ages.
