Grape Encounters Emporium in Atascadero recently celebrated a grand opening of their new outdoor patio wine garden. The annual Heirloom Tomato Festival is back this Sept. 19 through 20 at bucolic Windrose Farms in Paso Robles. This year will include a Saturday supper with Chefs Daniel Mattern and Roxana Jullapat of LA's Cook's County as well as a main event featuring more than 40 varieties of the coveted multicolored orbs.

Beer me: Have you been to Baywood Alehouse lately? The eclectic rotating list of craft beers are still cold as ever, but the largely organic, farm-fresh menu is on fire!
