I’m not the only one who thinks this is a great value for Cabernet Sauvignon at $28 retail; it’s their bestselling wine at the tasting room on Adelaida Road. This Bordeaux-style blend includes 9 percent Merlot, 6 percent Malbec, and 5 percent Cabernet Franc. Flavorful and nicely balanced, it tastes of blackberries, black cherries, and plums, with notes of bitter dark chocolate and spice. It lingers long on the palate, and mellow tannins make it easy to quaff now. It’s also a good choice for the table: Pair it with grilled steaks, prime rib, rack of lamb, and milder game like quail.
