Spirited away: Seasonal, sensational

Paso dining destination Thomas Hill Organics recently rolled out a fresh lounge menu, which includes a host of sherry and sake-infused cocktails and a smattering of complimentary eats (try the roasted pork shoulder with chili-butter braised chard) … Similarly, downtown SLO’s Sidecar has debuted its own overhauled cocktail menu utilizing fresh, local fare conjured up by owner/GM/bar manager Josh Christensen … Paso-based La Cosecha Bar + Restaurant has teamed up with North County distillery RE:FIND Hand Crafted Spirits to showcase their line of hand-crafted offerings, including rye, gin, vodka, limoncello, and cucumber vodka.

On June 14, Westside Paso’s Niner Winery will hold a BBQ cooking class taught by Chef Matt Beckett of Linn’s Restaurant … Farmstead ED, which brings edible and agricultural education to the masses, will feature a pasture-to-plate experience focused on grass-fed meats and wild game at J&R Meats on June 14 … SLO Pasty Co. is looking for customer input this month, so be sure to let your voice be heard on Facebook (and look out for their new fish and chips addition, coming soon) … Dive into a wave of dry, sophisticated rose at the Real Men Drink Pink Cancer Support Community fundraiser, which kicks off June 21 at Star Farms in San Miguel (don’t forget your swimsuit and floaties—there’s plenty of lakeside fun involved).

Laetitia Vineyard & Winery will debut its newest wine, Nadia Quattro, a red blend that will benefit local charities during an open community celebration June 15 … June 18-22 brings the anticipated Roll Out the Barrels lineup, a summer celebration of SLO wine that spans from Edna Valley to the Mission … Experience “the world’s greatest white grape,” during an educational Romance of Riesling tasting at Claiborne & Churchill on June 20 … Paso’s BarrelHouse Brewing Co. features live, local music every Friday and Saturday in June, often accompanied by Fundaro’s FoodStream (a vintage airstream trailer converted into a food truck). Cool photo-op, indeed!
