This delicious white was quite a pleasant surprise during a visit to Justin Vineyards, recently. Pretty, forward fruit flavors of pink grapefruit, stone fruit, and citrus make this quite tasty on its own, and a delicious aperitif. It’s also a great choice at the table for its versatility with an array of tasty foods. Justin’s outstanding chef William Torres paired it with asparagus soup with Monterey uni and lemon, and it was sublime. That’s not exactly what you call the easiest pairing. That said this crisp white is a good choice for salads with poultry and goat cheese, spicy Asian noodle dishes, or chicken enchiladas in chile verde sauce. It’s a very good buy at only $13.75 retail at Justin’s tasting room.
