Talley 2011 Riesling

comment

Talley is renowned for its premium quality Chardonnays and I love them, but I have always been fond of their pretty Riesling as well. It’s fruity and sweet, yet nicely balanced by tart citrus notes. It boasts a beautifully balanced array of stone fruits, sweet orange, and floral notes. It’s the perfect foil for Asian foods with moderately spicy heat, a chef’s salad, or Cobb salad, as the blue cheese has an affinity for Riesling. Only available at Talley Vineyards tasting room, it’s a very good buy for only $16 retail.
