Get this, Ferrara: The people had enough

Tony Ferrara can pontificate all he wants, but the fact still remains the same: He just doesn’t get it. His ego-filled diatribe only reinforces his misunderstanding on how people see him (“An Arroyo Grande postmortem,” Dec. 4). He is a tall, intimidating man who knows how to use that intimation and power to push through the agenda he has deemed the appropriate path for the city of Arroyo Grande. Damn the people—it is his town. The people voted against his arrogance, against his intimidation, against his attempt to sweep under the rug the “incident” of July 3 (hell, we should just call it what it was: a cover-up).

His rambling on and on about the police association and union is not what fueled the vote against him. The people had had enough, and thank God for Cal Coast News and our “hometown radio host” to give some insight and perspective to the disconnected views put out by the mayor’s office.

Tony Ferrara is not the “best mayor Arroyo Grande has had.” The best mayor wouldn’t have to tell people that he is the best. He just doesn’t get it.
