In response to Mike Mesker's letter of April 7-14 about Mariann Cirelli, I felt that Ms. Cirelli's letter was politically motivated more than a cry for help. All she seemed to want to do is praise Dan DeVaul and put down Christine Mulholland. If Ms. Cirelli had asked for help and given her phone number, I certainly would have come to her aid. If she had called Christine Mulholland for help, I know she would have done her best to help her as well.

Because our fine supervisors, mayors, and councilmembers are responsible for funding services for the mentally ill and homeless population, biting the hand that feeds you is not very smart.

If Ms. Cirelli has not already done so she should join NAMI, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, San Luis Obispo County. The phone number is 546-4040 or call the local hotline for help.
