Wake up to this complex situation

Los Osos

Regarding your reference to the board of supervisors as “exhausted” in “Reviewasaurus” (Dec. 27): Exhausted—really? There are many Tuesdays they don’t fill a full day’s agenda. With the exception of the few issues they have taken on (seismic testing and a few others), they pretty much behave as if they’re a chamber of commerce with a little more power.

Unfortunately, Los Osos is a sitting duck and easy pickin’s for cheap shots by people who don’t want to be bothered by complexities but want to take a position nonetheless. This is curious since every community in the county is facing water supply constraints—or worse—and we all need to be pulling together to develop effective water policies tailored to the needs of each area. But as long as there are articles like this one, lazy politicians, and self-perpetuating agencies, serious consideration and pro-active measures will remain a dream.
