What is your breaking point?

San Luis Obispo

Well the City of SLO utility customers apathetically wimped out again to challenge the City Council and Utility Department on their grandiose quest to over develop San Luis Obispo, and have us pay the highest water rates in the state, all for the privilege of ruining our own city. If the Nacimiento pipeline, the Romero Ripoff, had not been deceptively railroaded through, without voter consent, we would be paying around $3.00 per unit for water instead of the new $6.56 per unit plus $5.00 fee. If this add on fee is for servicing customers who don’t use water, why are we all paying it? Why aren’t they just charged for the services they require?

Dan Carpenters’ suggestion that we all use more water so our rates will go down has a Marie Antoinette twinge to it. His development cronies love for the residential customers to pay more of the utility bureaucracy so they can continue to receive huge water credits to entice new developments.

I will continue my conservation efforts and let the rest of you follow his ludicrous advice.
