You can’t win … it’s a dumb rule

comment

It feels good to write it even if it doesn’t end up as the rebuttal I planned. All the name-calling was probably unnecessary, but I have started a new thing around town with the coffee Nazi and I rather like it.

I am quite aware that you are doing your job, Ms. Espinoza, and any business is entitled to a policy. The customer is also allowed to have an opinion about the rules placed upon them. I was happy to see a response from the manager of the DCC because the day of the coffee doom, we e-mailed her and her company and received no response. The lack of decent customer service led me to write my opinion.

I would assume adults bringing in coffee are well equipped to handle a cup of coffee without fear of them abusing the privilege. Instead of nabbing the adults with coffee, try putting more restrictions on the underage kids that bring alcohol into the theater. Perhaps this is allowed because the beers are cold?

Okay, and I gotta respond to the guy that said, “Whatever happened to just following the rules?

Rules? If everyone followed all the stupid rules in this world our lives would be so boring, as yours must be. I am not trying to sneak in some black tar heroin. Just as easy as putting up a sign that says “No Hot Beverages, you can put a sign up that says “You Will Not Hold Downtown Center Cinema Responsible For Hot (Or Cold) Beverages Spilled.
