Since the beginning of time, artists have found inspiration over and over again in the human body.
Celebrate the body’s many angles and contours by checking out the exhibit, The Human Form, currently on display at Art Central in San Luis Obispo. The show, which runs through June 27, features the works of more than 25 artists.
If you’re a tad shy, fear not: The art in the show takes more of a figurative bent. Two- and three-dimensional art inspired by the human form includes a curvy corset sculpture made with fused glass, copper leaf, copper cups, vintage drawer pulls, and notions; a drawing of a woman drawing a bath; and a bronze sculpture of a woman reclining on a chair.
