Admittedly I never thought I’d see this as a pick of the week, but that’s part of the fun when you love wine. When I read this was rated “a steal” by the Wall Street Journal, I laughed. Then I got out the sample I’d received and said: “Wow, they’re right.” This tasty white is just the ticket for summertime. It offers zippy flavors of nectarine and citrus touched with a kiss of honey and floral notes on the slightly sweet finish. It’s refreshing on its own and ideal for fried chicken, shrimp quesadillas or an Asian stir-fry. Only $4.99 at Trader Joes, it’s perfect for picnic baskets.
