This year’s celebration of the Central Coast LGBQT community promises to be more colorful and vibrant than ever. Better yet—the whole enchilada culminates in an anticipated live performance by Belinda Carlisle of the Go-Go’s in Mission Plaza July 12.
The free, family-friendly concert will feature throwbacks like “Heaven is a Place on Earth,” “We Got The Beat,” “Vacation,” “Our Lips are Sealed,” “Mad About You,” and more. Yes, you’ve died and gone to Go-Go’s heaven!
According to organizers, Central Coast Pride is all about “bringing people together in the spirit of open celebration and community.”
GALA’s main function is to build and maintain a healthy gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community that promotes a positive image through visibility, education, and community involvement.
Music begins at noon in Mission Plaza with Carlisle slated to headline at 5:30 p.m. A SLO Pride After Party will be hosted at Novo, located at 726 Higuera Street. For more information, including opening musical acts, visit slopride.com.
