Russ Hodin’s cartoon depicting bombs made in the U.S. being dropped by Israel (Jan. 15), rolling down on Gaza in Israel’s own sickening version of shock and awe, needs a national audience. Russ is not only an excellent draftsman but he knows when to be and when not to be funny. The killing of more than a thousand people in the three weeks preceding the healing breeze that has arrived at the White House warrants neither silence nor levity.
