I wasn’t sure what this bottle held when I picked it up, but I remembered that I always liked Conn Creek wines. What a wonderful, delicious surprise—not only impressive on its own, but great for an array of good meals. A Bordeaux blend with a touch of Syrah, this wine is rustic and oh so pleasurable. It opens with wild blackberry aromas and flavors beautifully layered with notes of black cherry, spice, and earth. It was excellent with rack of lamb and perfectly suited for roast beef or mild-flavored game.
