Costa De Oro 2012 Pinot Noir Rose

Pink wines have come a long way since the era of sweet white Zinfandels, thank goodness. In my home it’s not just for summertime; this pretty wine is appreciated on the table any time of year. Of course now is the season for drinking pink as many wineries are just releasing their 2012 vintage into the marketplace. Winemaker Gary Burk consistently makes a delicious Rose. This ripe and fruity Rose of Pinot Noir offers ripe but dry flavors of raspberry, cherry, and strawberry very nicely balanced by juicy Meyer lemon notes. This dry wine was meant for food. Pair it with bouillabaisse, a seafood salad with citrusy vinaigrette, or seafood tacos. It’s $20 retail and only available at Costa De Oro tasting room alongside
