Criticizing the Iraq war is not unpatriotic

G. Baxter, the author of the letter “Iraq war is worth the losses” (March 25) has a right to his opinion, even when he tells everyone else they don’t have a right to theirs. That’s the beauty of democracy, which he should embrace instead of offending every other veteran in the nation. The actions taken in Iraq were done in the name of the American people. All Americans have a right and responsibility to speak to what is done in their names—not just those who took the actions
