Don't editorialize by omission

Editor's Note: The following letter has not been edited—at all.

I find it incredible that a publication feels they can manipulate the substance of a Letter to the Editor. The media is suppose to provide the public with the truth and the truth here is that the opinion submitted by a member of your readership was changed to fit an agenda of yours. I will always distrust the contents of the New Times after being enlightened by this distortion of reality. I noticed the same letter was published in the Tribune without editorializing by omission.

Lets be honest at least with the comments of the public if not with the opinions of your opinion writers.
