BEST JAPANESE FOOD

Goshi Japanese Restaurant

570 Higuera St., suite 155, SLO

Whenever and wherever I find sushi, I always order albacore tataki, and I’m always disappointed because it’s never as good as Goshi’s. Maybe it’s because Goshi is so selective about their fish, maybe it’s because their tataki sauce is something unknown to others, or maybe it’s because their sushi chefs are culinary geniuses dedicated to their craft—whatever the reason, I’ve never found another Japanese restaurant to compare. If sushi isn’t your cup of hot sake, they also have delicious grilled teriyaki and tempura dishes, and their Dynamite—baked baby shrimp, crab meat, bay scallops, and clams in a creamy mayonnaise sauce—is dynamite!
