Congratulations to Cal Poly’s own Ryan G. Guillou, who recently received a $7,500 scholarship from the San Francisco Orchid Society. The funds will allow the 18-year-old from Venice, CA, to further his interests in horticulture by providing him with faculty-guided, hands-on training in the production, propagation, and sales of these flowering tropical plants. This is only the third collegiate scholarship offered by the society. Way to go, Ryan! …
