To honor America's workforce, Quota International of San Luis Obispo will host its 17th annual "Salute to Staff" luncheon on April 23 at 11:45 a.m. at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. The event will honor the Central Coast's "Employee of the Year," and Jean Steel, an author and professional wellness coach, will be a guest speaker. Giovanni's Fish Market, family-owned and operated for more than 25 years, wants everyone to see its quarter-million-dollar renovation at a grand re-opening. April 18 at 2 p.m. marks a ribbon cutting (with margaritas, Dungeness crab, and prawn quesadillas), while April 19 and 20 bring fish and chips, oysters on the half shell, draft beer, local wines, mixed drinks, and more. April is National Autism Awareness Month and Playpath Therapy, a pediatric occupational therapy facility for children with autism, will host an open house on April 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at its office in Grover Beach at 750 Farroll Rd., Suite E. Lawrence Bardach, occupational therapist and owner of Playpath Therapy, said the open house is a chance to educate people about autism and how autism can be treated. The clinic helps autistic and other children with behavior, attention, and sensory disorder to develop self-regulation, thinking, communication, and relating skills.
