The Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos are celebrating Heritage Day and bringing history to life May 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Learn about local historical figures, including Henry Tefft, Captain William Dana, and his wife Maria Josefa Carrillo. The eighth annual Heritage Day will feature more than 50 historic re-enactors and interactive activities for the whole family. Live music includes a Baroque orchestra, 1850s Americana, and a Celtic ensemble. A campfire concert and fundraiser with dinner begins at 6 p.m. with chicken or a vegetarian option. Heritage Day is free, but tickets for the concert are $35 general, and $20 for students. Without dinner, you pay $20/$10. The Dana Adobe is located at 671 South Oakglen Ave. in Nipomo.
