ClichÃ©, but true: Knowledge is power. Not so clichÃ©, but also true: Education is the birthplace for this knowledge. Americans need more education.
But theyâ€™re not going to get it. Not after the last election. Bushâ€™s fear-based campaign hit its mark with uneducated Americans. Now ask, why would Bush want to change this? There are promises of educational reform, but no motivation to deliver.
Look at the results of 2004 presidential candidate race in comparison to education level. Eight of the top 10 most highly educated states voted for Kerry. All 10 of the lowest voted for Bush. Why would he relinquish this influence and encourage acquisition of knowledge and freethinking? Look how far astray such ridiculousness leads Americans. Is education a priority? You do the math.
