As an enthusiastic Donald Trump supporter, it was surprising that Ryah Cooley’s article, “Art, what is it good for?” (Sept. 29) seemed only able to find artists in our area that are critical of Trump and one swooning over Hillary. Though I admit to flaws in the candidate I support, my surprise is that when one considers how Secretary Clinton can’t help herself but to lie about everything from the Whitewater scandal back in the ’90s to her attacks on the women who complained about her husband’s unwanted advances to current scandals of lying to Congress about her handling of classified government emails, one would think that some artful balance might be in order. But, I guess, that’s just asking too much of the New Times.
One question for all left-leaning elites that might read this comment: How exactly do you explain that such an obviously flawed candidate as Mr. Trump can possibly be virtually tied in national and battleground state polls with such a clearly superior opponent as Mrs. Clinton, especially considering she has twice the finances and biased media support? I can’t wait to hear about all the deplorable and ignorant folk (myself included, I’m sure) with their God and guns as the likely explanation. Please make my day! Better yet, let’s Make America Great Again!
