When you think of magic shows, cheap tricks like pulling a quarter from an audience member’s ear might come to mind, but Jay Owenhouse doesn’t put on that kind of show.

Owenhouse, a legendary escape artist and one of the most awarded illusionists in history, will appear in San Luis Obispo for one night only, on June 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cal Poly Performing Arts Center. This family show, features twin tigers and stunts like Owenhouse escaping from a locked tank filled with water.

Owenhouse is also currently working on his new TV series and receiving critical acclaim for his live show, Dare to Believe!

Caught by the magic bug at 4 years old, Owenhouse first performed as a freshman in high school. Since then, he’s invented magic effects and designed illusions not only for his show but also for other magicians of world renown.

Tickets range from $29 to $69. To purchase tickets, visit pacslo.org
