A chance meeting can change everything. That’s the story at least in That Rhythm Thing, a play written by local playwright Mike Mailloux.
That Rhythm Thing is set in the 1970s in Central Park in New York and is a lighthearted show about a group of homeless folks who are former show people and an off-Broadway producer looking for a hit show. Through a chance meeting and a little bit of kindness, their lives are changed dramatically.
That Rhythm Thing is showing on April 8 and 9 at 7 p.m. at Oak Park Christian Church in Arroyo Grande. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at brownpapertickets.com or at the door.
