This is an impressive wine from a historic vineyard in Santa Maria Valley bordering with SLO County, produced by winemaker Rick Longoria. This delicious Pinot offers friendly flavors of fresh-picked cherries, blackberries, and spice with high notes of earth, vanilla, strawberries, and raspberries. Beautifully balanced, it’s way too enjoyable now but will reward those with the patience to wait a few years. Pair it with a great steak, grilled salmon, seared rare ahi, or herb-roasted lamb chops. It’s available in local restaurants, but get the best prices at the Los Olivos tasting room where it’s priced $45 retail.
