The Republican leadership seems to hate the poor, elderly, sick, disabled, students, and even the troops. Their intolerance is astounding. It’s as if they want to reinstate women as chattel and return to slavery no matter who the worker is, to benefit their wealthy corporate oligarchs—and in turn benefit themselves, as that is the bosom they suckle from.
They want to kill the unions, any regulation for labor rights, energy, banking, Wall Street, and any equitable form of health care and taxation. Shut the government down if they don’t get their way. That is the definition of “bully.”
The Republican leadership is targeting normal people by attacking Medicare and Social Security. Their health-care plan is to make insurance companies richer.
This ideology of hatred may be behind the South County hate crimes: the burning cross and recently a case of swastikas at a middle school. The cultivation of intolerant thinking is both micro and macro in America for “the fearful fifth” Tea Party. Are the people expressing this hatred locally followers of some fundamentalist Southern orator? It seems like it.
Like the Taliban, these people thrive on myths/lies, fear, and terror. This needs more investigation.
