A garden for every child! … Here’s a few healthy, not-so-common plant-based treats you should add to your next home-cooked meal: Jicama (also known as a Mexican potato) is crisp, crunchy, and great spritzed with lime juice; you might not think to work bok choy into a dish, but you should! Add it anytime you would add celery (winter stews and soups included) or eat it raw with some hummus or nut butter … Dandelion greens are super hip these days, and it’s easy to taste why: You can enjoy the slightly bitter, hearty veggies in a salad or sauté with garlic like you would with kale or spinach.

Warrior women unite: Cambria Estate Winery chose Yin Myo Su of Myanmar as the recipient of this year’s Seeds of Empowerment grant, which celebrates exceptional women. Su will be given $25,000 in grant funds for her ongoing efforts to bring growth and prosperity to Myanmar.
