ANNUAL EARTH DAY EVENT will take place on April 18 from 11am-5pm in SLO’s Mission Plaza. Green-oriented businesses, service providers, food and beverage vendors, government agencies, health practitioners, teachers, students, artisans, musicians, and volunteers come together to raise awareness and offer tips for leaving a lighter footprint on the planet at this Green Living Expo. PASO ROBLES BALLOON FESTIVAL will include a mass hot air balloon launch at sunrise on Saturday, a concert by Sugar Daddy Swing Kings on Friday at 6pm, food, kid-friendly attractions, hot air balloon rides, and more April 24-26. Festival admission is $10 per car. Concert is $12 at 800 Clubhouse Drive in Paso Robles. RECYCLED TREASURES SHOW, GARDEN ART AND VINTAGE SIDECAR SHOW comes to downtown Paso Robles on April 25 from 9am-3pm in the downtown city park. Free. Info: 238-4103 or pasoroblesdowntown.org.

AAUW GARDENS BY THE SEA TOUR is April 26 from noon-5pm. Tickets bear a map showing where the gardens are in Los Osos, Morro Bay, and Cayucos. $10 includes admission to eight gardens. Tickets are available at Miner’s Hardware stores, Coalesce Book Store, Volumes of Pleasure, and Pacific Coast Home & Garden. CENTRAL COAST CELEBRATION IN GROVER BEACH takes place May 16-17 in Ramona Park. Saturday hours are 11am-7pm and Sunday from noon-5pm. Live music all weekend comes from Natural Incense and others. Enjoy a petting zoo, pony rides, carnival games, beer and wine, and various food vendors. City officials, a board member, and a certain former director of the Chamber have agreed to participate in the dunk tank. A silent auction and raffle includes a certified diamond. GROVER BEACH SPRING GARDEN TOUR takes place May 31 from 1-4pm. Take a tour of Grover Beach’s most immaculate gardens. This event is free and includes a plant exchange. Artists will work in various gardens along the tour. THE 25TH ANNUAL CENTRAL COAST RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL comes to El Chorro Regional Park in San Luis Obispo on July 18 and 19. Join more than 800 costumed participants on a journey to 1858 for jousting, music, food, drink, crafts, vendors, and lots of swords. Info: ccrenfaire.com.
