If you’ve got good friends, the troubles and cares of life don’t seem so bad.
Focusing on the role of friendship in our lives, the Pewter Plough Playhouse presents The Dixie Swim Club by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. It’s a comedy celebrating 50 years of friendship among five North Carolina women—all former members of their college swim team. As the women mature through the years, we share their ambitions, disappointments, and joys.
Dixie Swim Club runs from Aug. 12 to Sept. 11. Tickets for preview night on Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m., $17; tickets for the Gala Champagne Opening (includes an after-show party with champagne and desserts) on Aug. 13 at 7:30 p.m., $25; regular tickets are $22, or $17 for students.
