NEW TIMES Why did you want to start hosting cooking classes for the public?

MACDONAL It’s imperative that people learn how to treat food with respect. Italian cooking really exemplifies this method by using each ingredient to its full potential and not trying to modify or change the ingredients to taste like something else.

NEW TIMES What kind of lessons do you teach to your guests?

MACDONAL Each class has a specific theme. Where some classes might be centered on pasta, other classes will be concentrating on sauces and meats, for example. On the 17th, we will be featuring a class on ravioli, and next Thursday we will be having a class on Italian meats.

NEW TIMES How does one join these classes?

MACDONAL We have these classes every Thursday, and they start at 10 a.m. and end around 1 p.m. The classes cost $70 and cover all the expenses of the ingredients and supplies. The classes are a first-come, first served basis, as we can only secure six spots for the class; however, we do provide discounts for people who want to try more than one class. Feel free to call us at 226-0300 or visit our website at ilcortileristorante.com for more information. Buon appetito!
