The sleek cheetah on the label was designed to evoke the South African landscape, but it’s what’s inside that will make you say, “Wow.” That was my first reaction to its unexpected pleasure. Fragrant with delicious aromas and flavors of ripe apple, pear, and nectarine nicely nuanced with Meyer lemon and honey notes, it’s barely sweet on the finish. Its creamy texture and balance makes it quite drinkable on its own, but it’s also a good choice for a crab, shrimp, and pear or apple salads. At this bargain price, just about anyone can afford to stock up on some for holiday parties your guests will think you paid more. A great deal at $10, it’s at Albertson’s, Ralph’s, Scolari’s and Spencer’s. www.sebekawines.com.
