This amazing white wine rates among the finest versions of this variety I have ever tasted. And I’ll be honest here—I taste plenty of wines like this from Central Coast wineries and beyond. Once you’ve tasted it, you won’t be able to step away from the glass. I loved its delightful flavors of Meyer lemon and stone fruits with nuances of tropical notes and honey. The latter notes, winemaker Mike Sinor explained, were due to some botrytis, also known as “noble rot,” in the grapes. It’s multi-layered, beautifully balanced, and pure elegance in the glass. Savor this with special meals like a Dungeness crab omelet, fresh lobster, seafood gumbo, or swordfish with a citrusy sauce. It’s at Taste of the Valleys Pismo Beach for $20 retail; only 119 cases were made.
