Try to get some basic service in the city of SLO, and staff will tell you there is not enough money. Try to reason with the council about their responsibility, they will say how much they appreciate hearing from concerned citizens, nothing changes, and of course there is no money. Just ask staff who took salary cuts. It pains me to say this, and they will not appreciate it, SLO City Council has broken trust.
On Tuesday, Aug. 19, they magically found $75,000 to give the Pismo Preserve. To even think of the idea is devious; to carry it out, atrocious. That is our money; we need it. Council members Ashbaugh, Marx, Christianson, and Smith have cheated us; they should pay us back. They have proven to be completely untrustworthy with our money.
Legal? Maybe. Despicable? Absolutely!
