A group of San Luis Obispo High seniors allegedly caused some serious damage to the school in the early morning of Feb. 27.

According to police, five male students vandalized buildings by spray painting "2008" and "Don't Hate '08" in at least 20 places. In addition to the twisted sense of class pride, they also spray-painted several marijuana leaves, shot a paint gun at doors and windows, and zip-tied and duct-taped door handles to prevent them from opening.

The cost of the damage is unknown, but according to a longtime school custodian it was the worst damage he has seen in 30 years.

All five students have admitted to participating in the vandalism and have been suspended. Felony vandalism charges will be submitted to the district attorney's office, according to police.
