Delicious day trip: The second Annual Santa Barbara Food & Wine Weekend dates have been announced for April 16 to 19 at Bacara Resort & Spa with cooking classes with chefs and cookbook authors Dorie Greenspan, Jim Dodge, Anne Willan, and Virginia Willis, and more food than you can shake a fork at (tickets on sale now; Bacaraculinaryweekend.com) …  If you get a chance to head down to Los Alamos, swing by the brand-new Municipal Winemakers tasting room, located on the lawn of the midcentury modern Alamo Hotel. The grapes are sourced from an array of local vineyards, the wines are straight forward delicious, and the style is always stripped down cool. Tip: Spread a Mexican blanket on the lawn and cozy up to a crackling bonfire (425 Bell St.; Los Alamos).

Fresh Start

Slurp!

Warm and “toast”-y: Grab a date and a warm scarf and head to Paso Robles for the Downtown Wineries Winter Wine Stroll this Jan. 17 from 3 to 7 p.m. Explore 14 downtown wineries and various inspiring pairings all in the quaint small-town setting ($20 per person; downtownpasowine.com) … Fans of Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company should be thrilled to know that the beloved craft brewery is opening its fourth Central Coast tasting room this month in Arroyo Grande (1462 East Grand St.; figmtnbrew.com; 694-2252) … More big beer news, y’all: BarrelHouse Brewing Company of Paso Robles will double its load and open shop in downtown SLO in 2015 (barrelhousebrewing.com).
