As a first-time visitor to Paso Robles from my home in Vancouver, British Columbia, I want to tell everyone that I was very impressed with your friendly city. Every time I went out I came back saying something nice about the people and the town. My friend suggested that I write to the paper and say so, and this is what I have done.
Although it was in the dead of winter and it rained every day, that didn’t matter. The wineries were open and welcoming with a little snifter of wine. The restaurants were fun, with friendly waiters and waitresses. Recently, with so much adverse publicity coming our way from the states, I wasn’t going to tell anyone where I came from. Of course, this was not a concern at all. If anyone cared, I didn’t hear about it. A visit to San Luis Obispo, the Mission of San Miguel, and so many other fascinating places that I had only heard of in old cowboy films was great, even in the rain. So this is to say thank you, Paso Robles, for a visit to your very nice, friendly city.
