There’s nothing wrong with double dipping! Check out the Double Dipped Gooney Bird exhibit showing at Left Field Gallery from June 26 through July 26, which features the striking work of Chicago’s Cody Hudson.

Also known under the moniker Struggle Inc., Hudson’s graphic work and paintings have been exhibited throughout the U.S., Europe, and Japan including the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), New Image Art (LA), Rocket Gallery (Tokyo), The Lazy Dog (Paris), and Andrew Rafacz (Chicago).

In 2006 Cody was commissioned by the city of Chicago Public Art Program to create a permanent installation at the Sox/35th CTA station as part of the Arts in Transit Program. He’s also a partner in the Michelin Star rated Longman & Eagle restaurant and a founding partner in the Land and Sea Dept. creative group.

For this exhibition, Cody’s transforming the gallery space into a weird wonderland with a huge mural and steel sculptural works as well as many smaller works on paper.

A free opening reception will take place on June 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. Left Field Gallery is located at 1242 Monterey St.
