Barack Obama has media mogul Oprah Winfrey on his side and Hillary Clinton is backed by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Now SLO County Supervisor Jerry Lenthall is apparently being supported by Ultimate Fighting Championship bad-ass Chuck Liddell.
Liddell is set to lend his mohawked persona to Lenthall during a fundraiser for his re-election campaign on March 12 at SLO's Downtown Brew.
"Liddell is a great success story and as a fellow Cal Poly graduate, I am grateful that he can share his experiences with us at our upcoming event," Lenthall said in a press release.
The event will start at 5:30 p.m. and tickets start at $50.
Challenger Adam Hill, meanwhile, announced an endorsement from a 600-member Cal Poly student organization, the Empower Poly Coalition.
It's a group of groups and clubs dedicated to campus sustainability.
It's unclear whether the 600 students could defeat Liddell, if it ever came down to that.
