Who’s protecting our rights?

It is common knowledge that every riot SLO has seen in the last 20 years was caused by the police. Many eyewitness accounts reported by the news media prove it. If the police truly wanted to prevent a riot this year during Mardi Gras, all they had to do was leave town. Instead the police cost the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars to impose a police state and trample the constitutional right of citizens to peaceably assemble. The people are rightfully outraged and scared.

The citizens of SLO cannot tolerate this behavior from the people we pay to protect us anymore. We need to elect officials willing to hire a police chief who won’t terrorize our city.
