The SLOIFF’s traditional Surf Nite has grown into a full-fledged Sports Nite, a red carpet event featuring surf, bike, and snowboard films, with an after-party at SLO Brew. Taking place on Thursday, March 8, the event kicks off with a pre-party at Woodstock’s Pizza at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., Finnsurf, the world’s first Finnish surf film, screens at the nearby Fremont Theatre. Director/producer Aleksi Raij will participate in a Q&A. Then, after a performance by the Bucket Busters between screenings, stick around for 3 Minute Gaps, a documentary film following World Cup mountain bikers around the globe, and The Art of Flight, a visually striking doc featuring pro snowboarders, both of which screen at 8 p.m. Then, from 9:30 p.m. to whenever, party on and enjoy drink specials at SLO Brew.
These events are priced individually (visit sloiff.org). But the good news is your ticket price includes Bike Valet Parking!
